  1. I get tricked into Starbucks around Christmas, with those damned Egg Nog (and now Maple) lattes. I have one or two each season.

I'll also go once every three months or so for their Chai latte or something. Basically a tea version of a latte. The damn thing is good, but rarely worth the hassle.
  2. maple? when i was there last week, it was cinnamon dolce.

i really like the pumpkin spice in the fall and the gingerbread lattes at christmas. may have to stop tomorrow while out and see if they have maple.
  3. Yea, I think the maple macchiato is a seasonal thing, much like egg nog, gingerbread, and the other one that they have around Christmas. Like most of their frilly drinks, it's best to get it w/ skim milk and an extra shot of espresso. Otherwise, it's like drinking sweet coffee off a stalk of sugar cane.
  4. i agree with that! the cinnamon dolce was available in sugar free, which is the first time i remember seeing sugar free in one of the seasonal flavors like that. it was still really sweet, but at least it didn't add 200,00 calories.
  5. When I'm studying I like a nice medium or regular roast because of the higher caffeine content. For flavor I like a nice latte from Starbucks. I would drink them more but they are relatively weak in comparison to regular drip coffee.
  6. dredging the coffee thread up just for bayareatiger. dont say i never did anything for you bay!

i had the latest seasonal latte from starbucks a few days ago. the dulce de leche latte. that mthrfkr is rich and sweet! its like a heavy cream caramel flavor. it doesn't come in sugar free, so god only knows how many calories it has!
  7. I go over to Europe about four times a year on business. It's always fun to see if I can make my spoon stand upright in their cups of coffee.

Starbucks is interesting. While you're standing in line for a $3 cup of crap coffee, you have time to ponder the greater questions of life, like why you never seem to have enough money. I don't do Starbucks often. I don't like the looks I get if my tip is less than a dollar. If they hear the sound of loose change, you're gonna get "the stare".

Dunkin Donuts is where it's at. Good coffee, great appreciation for quarters, dimes and nickels.
  8. I don't consider either coffee, particularly Starbucks. Community Coffee makes the best there is, so CC's would be my choice.
  9. CC's is not my favorite for coffee. But I wouldn't hesitate to push someone out of line over when it comes to their turtle mochasippi.

  10. And an unfortunate development for civilization it is...
