Agree but that covers many law enforcement who don’t live in a normally violent place. Without training and realistic practice no one is prepared for moments like that. Even if the aren’t cowardly like these it’s likely they won’t be effective. In addition they normal rules require a totally different mindset. Switching from one to the other isn’t something many can do immediately without training.
I’m sure @shane0911 can tell you the very realistic training the armed forces use prepare our people to step into combat and perform effectively. I remember one incident in Baton Rouge a few year ago. There were 3 policemen confronting a man who they thought had a gun. They shot at him 27 times from fairly close range and hit him only a few time and only one was fatal.

There is no real excuse. They need to be fired and that city is going to have to pay up.

I agree no excuse for how they acted is acceptable.
My observation is that without training and realistic practice no one will be as effective as they should in these situations.

Trained cops scared of one teenager with an AR-15. so 19 children died and 38 people in total were shot.

The GOP answer? Arm the teacher, whose biggest worry should be educating her students, and who likely wouldn't get nearly the arms training required of the police.

If the POLICE ARE SCARED of one teenager with an AR-15 and thus fail to save lives then that's a good sign that the AR-15 should be banned.

Take your decency card and shove it up your ass and if you have another one use it on Winston. Or maybe you could have showed it to Salvador Ramos and it would have made him decent. Only thing that stopped Ramos from killing 19 more was a bullet. Stay disarmed you fool. I am armed to the teeth and the SOB that messes with me there will be hell to pay.
