  2. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion on Laura. It's on the same path as Audrey was in 1957. Audrey's eye passed right over my home town. We were without power for quite a few days. Not many people evacuated Cameron and as a result there were over 500 deaths.

  3. Its mostly being compared to Rita from 2005. Similar track, but I think it will be even stronger. I think people in that area are getting the hell out of Dodge right now.

True story: Vincent is doing that interview, talking about riding it out at home. Unseen behind the front door were his packed bags. As soon as the TV crew left, he headed for the shelter.

  5. Laura has intensified into a Cat 4 storm with winds approaching 150 mph. This storm is going to be a bitch when it makes landfall and moves inland. Every one in Laura's path please take the necessary precautions including evacuating if the experts deem it necessary.
