Looking at the video I see about 440 pounds of tackler riding Tua to the ground at the point where his flexed right knee is driven into the turf. Correct the committee will not put bama into the playoffs with Jones at quarterback, if they have other options to choose like Oregon or even a Utah.
Tua is tough--no doubt--but I hope he will make decisions now based more on his future than for a few extra minutes of racking up points against lesser opponents.
