1. Where’s Bregman? I agree we need at least 3-4 starters and a closer. Brad Hawpe, who was the fireplug 3rd basemen?.....so many to chose from

  3. Tookie
  4. Two intentional walks to load em then 4 straight balls! A walk off walk?!?!? That was painful.

  5. I'd say no on Bregman. Hawpe worth a mention bc anyone with a left handed swing like that deserves mention. With serious power .
2b. Didn't Walker beat Tookie out his freshman year when Tookie was a Sr. Dj lemahieu would be on this team anywhere else.

  6. Can we just beat tulane once this year? Fuggers swept us last year. I know it never factors into the post season, but it's fucking tulane. Enough of this shit already.
  7. Mikie Mahtook was a great player but he's on the team and Albert "Don't call me Joey" Belle is not.
Whoever made this list is on drugs.

  8. I’ll take Bergman over Larsen everyday. Considering the difference in balls and bats between the eras I bet Bregs is equivalent in power and wins hands down as a defensive SS. Another notable is the catcher who played all 9 positions one game. Can’t recall his name but remember he was a great catcher.
My main issue with the list is that there are many close decisions and they weren’t discussed at all.
  9. Larsen was in and out of the bigs for years before he called it quits without ever playing for an extended stint in MLB. Bregs, despite his slow start this season and being dropped from 2nd to 6th in the order tonight looks like he will play for as long as he wants to.

Not that that's any measure of their relative value on the college level and considering the change in the college game from Gorilla bats to whatever they use now.
