Yes, he is a RS FR. Some interesting possibilities though....could Ronald Martin play CB...I think he was listed that way out of HS and played his TR FR year last season. LSU seems to have more safeties than CBs right now but LSU recruits CBs out of HS and moves them to safety quite a bit.

My opinion has been clear for a while here...I think Mathieu is an outstanding defensive player but as a cover guy, personally C+ at best. IF LSU has a decent cover guy to replace him, I don't see a big problem in pass coverage but you can cut the turnovers LSU generates in half and you have to find a punt return guy. To me it is his pestiness on defense and his special teams play that is invaluable. His pass coverage skills....eh, those can be replaced.

15 minutes to this giant press conference and Jimmy Ott is talking about UCLA and USC.

If it is TM7, I hope it's against him and nothing he did to put team in Jeopardy.

My thoughts, exactly. If being the marquee player on the best football team in the country isn't enough motivation for you to discipline yourself, then good luck in life.

We're probably hearing the same one... and I agree.
