1. Oh, OK, I've got it now. The answer is still NO.

    :)
  2. Get real. Nobody fires a coach with Nick's record. Where do you come up with this?
  3. This is not as dumb a question as it seems. There have been some crazy issues in the past.

I corrected my original comment, as I was unable to find a source.
  4. What in the world are you talking about?
  5. 1 person likes this.
  6. Nobody said anything about firing him, Red. If you don't think some crazy Bama fans would be at the very least questioning him, you're wrong. They questioned him after Nov. 5, 2011.

Hell, LSU fans are on here questioning Les Miles, and he's 11-0!
  7. I made an error. I thought Stallings was fired a few years after his NC season. I know there was quite a bit of controversy. It was reported that he was fired in the media. In the end it seems that he quit. Can you shed some light on this?

    Source: Opentopia encylopedia:

Stallings remained at Alabama until midway through the 1996 season. Stallings resigned as Alabama head coach on November 23, 1996 following a 24-23 win over arch-rival Auburn. Stallings cited family reasons and age for his seemingly sudden decision, but many insiders feel that the well documented tension between Stallings and Alabama athletic director Bob Bockrath was the primary reason for Stallings' departure.
  8. Sugars comment was "calling for Saban's head". That has always been a euphemism for firing a coach.

  9. Like asking Mick Jagger if he ever contemplates singing for another band.
