LSU has set up the web site Alex Box Auctions for fans to have the opportunity to bid on items from the old baseball stadium.

Some cool stuff there. I like the bleacher piece with legs, the bleacher wall mount, the "Last Play" picture frame with the infield dirt, and the LSU baseball ticket sign that is signed by Skip Bertman. I'd like to have all that in a warehouse loft apartment downtown.

why would you want it there? i'd want all of it at my house where i could look at it. :hihi:

The piece of bleacher seats with legs and the bleacher wall mount would look horrible in my house for my personal taste. However, I think it would look great in a downtown warehouse loft apartment/condo and I've been dreaming of getting one for a few years now as a get-away spot/weekend place.

Yeah, it would be nice: very, very nice. But like I said, it is just a dream. But there is nothing wrong with dreaming :thumb:

my only question is... if we're dreaming, why not Southgate Towers?

When I was at LSU, one of my friends was this insanely mega-rich kid from the richest family I've ever met (very rich and very successful for generations). His dad ended up buying him a quarter-million dollar brand-new house within a half a mile of LSU. When he was looking at houses, the other house he could have had was right there on the LSU Lakes. Although it wasn't brand-new (and I never got to see the inside of it), I thought he was nuts for choosing not to live on the Lakes.

Also, I'm sure most people know this (but I keep meeting people in real life that don't)...LSU's Chancellor lives in a mansion on the Lakes. Kinda dated architectual style but the way they shine the lights up in the trees on the property at night is Gorgeous.
