these bands are the result of effective drug use. thats one hell of a list. I had no idea YES was around in the 60s. I thought for sure when I heard Roundabout which steve posted was new in the 80s. I apparently have some lapses in my music history. Usually from those bands from across the pond.

Even the who's and pink floyds music is somewhat odd to me. But of course i was never a drug user. I do wanna start however. Maybe some psychedelics and a laser light show to start. Or would that freak me out too much?

They still do it; it's just that now they create playlists for each other. :)

My high school years...soul mixed with rock, and progressive, with a heavy dose of Neil Young and of course, southern rock:

Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Four Tops, Archie Bell and the Drells, Jimi, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Lovin Spoonful, Zeps, Stones, Beatles, Beach Boys, Neil, CS&N, ABB, Marshall Tucker

"I may be old, but I was around when all the great bands were."

you wont find a 10 yr old barely usable playlist in the backseat with loads of memories on it either. pun intended.

How many thousand songs can you put on an iPod? When you're limited to 90 minutes of music (cassette), you're much more selective about what you on there.
