Plenty of time for me to change my opinion but I think the fascination with Woodward has been unfounded. He had such a hard on for Jimbo nobody wanted to come here as a second choice . My current verdict : Another snake oil AD who came here and failed on his promises.
I hope the Title IX fist fuck doesn’t scare Aranda away. Could be a very rough spring before that issue is laid ( pardon the pun) to rest .
Why would Title IX scare away Aranda? Title IX is not an NCAA issue, so no loss of scholarships, bowl bans, etc. Title IX is a federal gov. issue that the university has to comply with.
I realize that the scuttlebutt is usually proliferated by the media and media types and a lot of people in "the know," are not really in the know. But, how much of what "we hear" about the candidates for the job are factual or accurate? The media has told us who the candidates are for the HC job, not anyone from the AD's office, that I am aware of. I'm going to believe that Woodward has got to have expanded his search beyond what we are being told: Kiffin, Fisher, O'Brian, Riley, Tucker, Franklin, Aranda, and that his search is not left with Aranda, Napier, and Campbell? (BTW, I'd be very good with Aranda being the HC). I just wonder when LSU announces the next HC will we all be thinking: well, I didn't see that coming?
The stench the stain -perception is reality . Word is he’s leaning toward an opening one day out west . The notion he might be coming to work for a ‘We Rape Em Tech ‘ might sour him on making the move. He’s not a sleazy snake oil salesman . I do think Aranda unlike a Jimbo or Lane has standards
