Well the majority of us watched the game on TV. Can we hear from some of the lucky 7,000 Tigers that made the trip to game? It would be nice to hear how quiet the stadium got when we recovered the fumble and scored the winning TD. How nerve wracking was it? How was everyone treated, etc...Thanks for Sharing!

The stadium was extremely quiet when we were up 17-3, but was silent after the fumble Sarah jessica parker I mean John parker wilson. Nerve wracking, it was a normal LSU game this year. The fans were very nice, except for the one drunk frat guy outside the stadium trying to tell LSU fans not to  celebrate, because the gumps were:bncry: . Had a great time would defintely do it again. Another Bama fan got escorted away by police for constantly saying FU to some LSU fans.

I had a good time with some LSU fans this weekend. I think I saw your tailgate, but didn't try to look to see if I was right.

There were a few incidents that put a few guys in the slammer, deserved.

All in all, the fans at the game aren't the ones you find posting on 'net forums.

The punt return for a TD was one of the loudest times I've heard the stadium. The group I talked to Saturday night said it was louder than what they've heard in Tiger Stadium. Who knows?

Good experience all around on my end...although, I did witness a few things that reflect the stories we see on the 'net about different fan bases.

Me and Upsizin went to the game and it was a great experience. Tailgating atmoshere was very dissapointing. We didnt get to campus till about 10am and was surprised at how many parking spots were available! In the stadium the fans were great, very knowlegable about the game and didnt talk any trash. As far as stadium noise, I dont think it was comparable to Tiger Stadium. It was real quiet when we were up at 17-3 as said earlier. In the first quarter when we were up 17-3 one bama fan was ticked pulled his bama shirt off and I believed was kicked out of the stadium (noticed he had an LSU girl with him). I think he gave up on his team a little too early. It was a hell of a trip though, Im just broke now.

The game was awesome. The stadium is very nice and the vast majority of the Bama fans were very cool. I went out on Friday night. The first bar that we went to was the Houndstooth (I think that's what it was called). It's right near the stadium. There were hundreds of LSU fans. I saw about 16 fights that night. LSU fans fighting Bama fans....Bama fans fighting Bama fans. It was pretty funny actually. There were hundreds and hundreds of LSU fans in and around this bar. They chanted very loudly and very often. My favorite is when about 200 fans on the other side of the street yelled "Geaux" and then everyone on our side of the street replied with "Tigers!". LSU fans were rolling deep and they pretty much took over that night. We walked across the street to another bar (the name of the bar escapes me now) and we limped out of that joint at around 5:15 am! I had no clue that bars stay open on Friday nights until 5am in a college town. That was crazy. Got a few hours of shut eye and then went back out to Tailgate on Saturday. The tailgating was awesome. I spent much of the time on Saturday on the quad. The fans were great. I was truely impressed. This was my first trip to Tuscaloosa.

The stadium got REALLY quiet when SJP coughed up the rock and gave us the game. My seats were in the West stands in section G on the 50 yard line. There were 5 LSU fans sitting right next to me. We got very loud. The gumps didn't like that....but they were very tolerant. We hit the streets again after the game. The quad cleared out rather quickly. The bars did not have near as many people at them as they did on Friday night. Late night on Saturday night, I was physically shoved by a Bama fan who claimed that ALL LSU fans were "classless pieces of sh*t". :insane: The cops jumped on him and cuffed him on the spot. The cops were nice to me even though I was dressed in purple and gold. The cops apologized for his behavior. Homeboy spent the night in the slammer. I don't think he likes LSU fans.

All in all I was VERY impressed by the atmosphere, the fanfare and the nightlife. We had a blast and partied shoulder to shoulder with tons of gumps. I regret that I couldn't stop by the TF tailgate that was occuring, but there wasn't enough time in the day. I will definitely go back to T-Town in two years. Thanks for showing us a good time, Tuscaloosa!:thumb:

I'm glad you did! i've got a few friends who are close to that area.

As far as elaborating, let's just leave it in terms of drunk young kids trying BS around different stadium and campus things.

I think the best story of the weekend has to do with the New Orleans bar downtown...a few LSU fans came in yelling Tiger Bait. What they didn't know is that Simeon's sister tends bar there...it didn't take long for them to get blasted with "Yea Alabama."

The weekend lived up to expectations, no doubt.

I also hung out at the Houndstooth both on Friday and Saturday before the game. I could have sworn there were more LSU tailgaters than Bama ones. I was in the midst of mostly Bama fans on the shady side due to attending the game with my Bama friend. I was decked in purple and yellow, was loud as hell...without being disrespectful. I was sitting around a lot of Bama fans who appeared to be quite okay with me rooting for my team. I didn't run into any flack. The stadium was pretty darn loud at times. Still Tiger stadium beat it by a long shot. Overall, a great experience.:thumb:
