I think the consensus is O will not finish the year. If they can him mid season like they did Miles who steps in and takes the interim gig? I think someone asked this same question in an earlier post but not sure it got any traction. I think it deserves it's own discussion.

    So what do you do?

    The DC
    Corey?
    Pete?

I hope someone is at least game planning for what they will do when it happens because I think the time is near.

I would rather Corey. It seems he could be in the best position to hold things together without being put in a similar position as O was.

Oh, the negative waves! We have a coonass as an astronaut. It’s a sign from above (literally) that another coonass can right the ship.
Seriously, for me the discussion about sacking Orgeron is too early. If we loose any of the next 3 games then I also will abandon the “Rosy Finch” ship.

If feels a little early to me also but I'm sure Helton felt the same way. Its the new reality. BUT, assuming we beat CenMich, if we look bad loosing two or more of the Bells, Barns, or KYjelly I wouldn't be surprised if O got the hook. Its not just the team performance O hasn't helped himself the off field stuff.

My preference would be to get the recruits signed for the next guy.

If O continues to shit the bed, then I’m fine with firing him, although I’d prefer to wait u til after the season. That being said, if he goes, interim should be Raymond or Baker I think. Need a leader, and all the new guys are so young. Faulk wouldn’t be a bad choice either. I think the players would respect him.

This is all so depressing considering that 2019 seems like just yesterday.

I just can't remember mid season firings of a coach leading to much success for any program. So I hope that nothing is done during the season. Of course, I am still also hoping that O gets the boat going in the right direction so we don't have to consider the alternatives.

Is there enough bankroll to cut bait this year and find a new guy ?
