Why? Because they lost to UT in Dallas? Because Stoops has lost five of the past six bowl games they've been in? OU is largely a media-hyped team--every year. And their defense is maybe only a step better than ours.
You can't disqualify teams because of past performances. It's a different team every year. It's a 3-way-tie in the Big-12. That means throw out head to head matchups. Oklahoma hung 60 points in their last 4 games. 2 of those games were against top-15 teams.
Again, that's nice, but OU gets by year after year on their "past performance," which against quality teams from out of conference in BCS games has been abysmal.
Are the ones saying they are for OU not voting (Or perhaps the ballot is confusing them, recount!) because I still see zero for OU. I voted Texas. Head to head win > rest for me.
In OUs defense, it's not their fault the Big 12 is usually filled with weaker talent, and that it isn't until the bowl season they see someone else who really can play (see tOSU as well). I thank them for sucking so much that we won our first NC in 50 years. I'll always hold them close to my heart for that. LOL. :thumb: I can't vote in the poll other wise I would've voted for OU, I just hate UT that much. Can not stand them. I agree with the head-to-head issue, but still it's UT... I think their spotted 10 points before every game to make up for their intelligence.
Texas got hosed period. Texas beat OU on a neutral field. Texas lost a game on the road in the last seconds of the game. Now we get to watch OU get slaughtered by Florida, which is good for them. The only team worth a damn OU stopped all year was TT, at home where Texas Tech hasnt won in something like 50 years, and TT just had to play Texas and Oklahoma State. Texas beat OU on a neutreal field, yet OU jumps them and wins the Big 12 south??????? Once again the love for OU has put them in a position they should not be in. Shouldnt have been in the BCSMNCG in 03, shouldnt have been there in 04 either. Boise State beat them in a BCS game, and West Virginia slaughtered them in a BCS game. When will these idiots ever learn. I hope they barely beat Missouri and then Florida wipes them off the face of the earth.
