What's the realistic expectation for the new HC in his first year?

I think it's safe to say the new HC has some house cleaning to do, so what does that mean for his first year? I'm thinking eight wins, but the team needs to be competitive in every game. We clearly have talent in certain areas, but the QB and the OL situation has to be resolved! I see Sark is already on the hot seat, so I think fans need to have realistic expectations when it comes to turning the program around. I don't think we're far off from returning to an elite program, but there will be bumps in the road. So what's your expectation for the incoming HC?

Improvement. Not going to put a number on it. The defense has played well enough to win the last 2 games and one of those was against Bama. Minus Bech, the offense is abysmal.
The culture needs to change. If it does and the kids buy in right away, you'll see a massive improvement followed by a small drop off year 2, then a slow build toward excellence. That's what I am hoping to see.

With the base of talent we have and assuming we maintain most of our recruits, anything less than 8 wins would be disappointing. The cupboard IS NOT bare.

Agree. Unless we see significant improvement in play by our OL then I wouldn't expect much of a jump in our W/L record.

I mean we shoulda beat AU, Bama, and Arkansas. With a good coach this could have been our year. I’m putting WW level expectations on the next guy.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. If our OL can't open up holes for our RBs or provide enough time for our QBs to throw, it's all wishful thinking. The talent just isn't there.

If you don’t set the bar high then why change coaches?
