Tho this is true, I soak em to loosen all the mud off. Makes em easier to rinse off. Shipped bugs come packed in mud and marsh, so I call it a purge. These are still pretty small. We get what we get out here
Fought that battle too many times with La Crawfish Co. They can fuck right off. Order select, pay for select, end up with bass bait. They will never see another dime of my money.
I bought some a couple of years ago from 2 guys in a refrigerated truck who were called "Cheap Crawfish." Guy said they had $40 sacks and $60 sacks, I bought a 60. Coulda used em for bait to catch the bait to catch bass. I would hate to see what the $40 sacks looked like.
The only time we see real size bugs out here are for the boil fest we host every memorial day weekend. 30 thousand pounds from Lafayette are trucked in and boilt. We are still holding out and not canceling this years boil. In fact, we are the only event in San Diego that has not canceled their permit. With a little relaxation put in place over the next 6 weeks, we could very well be party of the year this year.
