No but in order to prove murder the prosecution would have to convince a jury that there was a specific intent to kill. I doubt that anybody involved wanted to kill him. It was just that the culture of the program had gotten perverted. In this case negligent homicide would appear to be provable under the law.
I think there's a lot more going on here than a probable 'roided up coach shoving his wife around. It's odd nobody acknowledges the coach's wife, Courtney. She may know where a lot of bodies ( and sex toys) are buried. By the time he left Methsville, Urban had an Animal House in full swing at UF. Same commotion may have already started in Columbus. I'm suspecting freaky deaky things involving coaches, wives, the whole nine yards. You won't hear much from the wife right now. She's going to sue Thee OSU for every dime she can. Look for a book to come out next spring.
This guy. He can't do the right things in the moment. He is great at trying to make amends after the shit hits the fan. http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...-state-buckeyes-issues-apology-courtney-smith "My words and demeanor on Wednesday did not show how seriously I take relationship violence. I sincerely apologize," "I understand my lack of more action in this situation has raised concerns about this commitment," Meyer said in the statement Friday. "I once again apologize for this..." "Let me say here and now what I should have said on Wednesday: I sincerely apologize to Courtney Smith and her children for what they have gone through."
Too bad. Urban Meyer very likely looking for another high paying gig after this horseshit at tOSU. 73-8. @Ohio State LSU? Watching Rosy Finch try to get his shoelace knots untied at the post Bama presser, after his 3rd uninspiring season. "We lost, but every year, we gonna keep coming. We's just a 'lil bit outta sync again"
