Look, I don't really care about Nick Saban anymore unless he's playing us. Bama lost to LSU and Miss. St. again despite changing coaches and will likely add Auburn to that list as well. They did beat Tennessee bad, so that was an accomplishment. But other than that, Bama this year is just like Bama last year. Only Bama had a tougher schedule last year with Florida and many tough road games.

Some of these Bama fans are acting like Saban is coming into coach retarded kids or something. Shula's players weren't that bad. They had many close losses last year.

Saban did do a good job at LSU. He didn't "make" us. He did help us out a lot though and completely turned around the thinking of the players. Remember, DiNardo took us to three straight bowls and some huge wins before going crazy and hiring Lou Tepper. After that, he was finished. We had a TON of talent when Saban came in here. Everyone knew that including Saban. Even DiNardo would have kept building had he not hired Lou Tepper as the D coordinator.

But if you agree that Saban made LSU, then LSU certainly made Nick Saban. I had no clue who the hell Nick Saban was when we hired him. I knew all the other 150 possible candidates. Sure Saban coached in the Pros, etc. But still, nobody really knew him. He is a good coach though. I just think Bama fans are expecting too much from him.
