Auburn and Florida both have better records because they played more games. They both have the head to head It would be entirely unfair to put LSU in the Sugar ahead of either team.
Exactly, but the probability that the offense would have been better is pretty high just based on the improvement we saw in other games. It's very possible that the defense could be better next year. If BDP is fired special teams is guaranteed to be better. Offense is also almost guaranteed to be better, just s matter of how much better. Offense has the potential to be greatly improved. I think the unknowns are how O handles the non X and O stuff like discipline, coaching hires and things of that sort.
Dang, it is true that Eaux was working with shoe strings and duck tape; Eaux deserves some criticism for both (especially UF), but it isn't all bad and unforgiveable. We are as deserving as AU & UF IMO. We've looked pretty damn good under Eaux.
Don't know how Herman would handle the SEC grind either. Beating Bama would lose some luster if we'd lose to Auburn.
Bad losses; but we have no quality wins so... we're probably not going to the Sugar. . I don't think my ratings would put LSU ahead, though good wins vs bad losses might even each other out. CFN agrees with you. http://collegefootballnews.com/2016...-25-what-will-they-be-on-tuesday-night-week-5
