Last week we found out through testimony transcripts that in early 2020 trump and his highest sycophants aggressively blocked health experts from warning of the active spread of Covid 19, and deliberately avoided testing and other measures that would have prevented, as Dr. Birx has testified, at least 130,000 American deaths. When Democrats and other observers criticized his inaction, incompetence, and extreme selfishness, he called all that "a hoax". Unquestionably the most important duty of an American president is to protect the American people, for which at inauguration he takes a solemn oath. Yet he DELIBERATELY avoided measures to protect us, all for the sake of what he thought would improve his election chances. How can you call yourself a "patriot" and still defend that evil cretin who caused so many of us to die unnecessarily? How can his party, in his hip pocket, still not thoroughly denounce him and overtly declare that he has no place in their future? Four years ago Kathy Griffin, a layman comedienne, caused histrionic convulsions among Republicans when as part of a comedy routine she held up the sawed-off likeness of the head of donald trump. Extremely tasteless and should have been universally denounced, as it pretty much was, but where was the outrage this past week when a sitting member of Congress depicted himself slashing the throat of a fellow congressperson, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez? Yesterday, all but two Republicans in the House of Representatives refused to vote for his censure. Hypocrisy in the extreme.
When I read the title of this thread, the first thing I thought of was democrats, since these are ALL staples of that party. Then I realized who posted it. At this point, Rex's garbage posts just sound to me like Charlie Brown's teacher.
Funny. I posted this same meme yesterday in response to one of his stupid posts. Not sure how yall missed it.
Impossible to know, especially since the numbers were inflated anyway. Yep and the decisions #FJB made led to the unnecessary deaths of US service men and women in Afghanistan. Very different then a disease that no one has control over he gets/doesn't get. As you say, both are tasteless and condemnable, but ultimately, no crimes were committed. And dude did lose all of his committee appointments.
Wrong. That's like saying that trump was responsible for the 63 Americans killed in Afghanistan while he was in office, or that Bush was responsible for the 3000 Americans killed on 9/11. Furthermore, it was trump, not Biden, that emboldened the Taliban by delegitimizing the Afghan government and military, wasting 2500+ American lives and trillions of dollars in training and support. His own health experts told trump there would be a pandemic and massive death without action, and he ignored them and shut them up. Yes, that's quite a bit different, because trump's deaths were intentional, whereas terrorism happens all the same under Bush, trump, Obama, Biden. No thanks to Republicans, who actually had the scumminess to physically stand next to him. It's an immoral, crass, unAmerican party, whose only purpose is to further enrich the rich, and whose biggest methods are to lie and to divide people by race
