This is very true. With Bama's talent there's no way we should have been in the game. The undisciplined play of LSU nearly cost you a chance at a national title. Miles is going to have to work some of that out over the next few games. You should walk on everyone until the SEC championship game. I want you to win the national title again, but a disciplined team with great talent will beat you if you play like you did yesterday. This talk of some kind of a conspiracy is nothing more than a shortcut to thinking.
Terry, LSU is a very undisciplined football team this year. There's no question we make critical mental mistakes and it did cost us in Lexington. Now, with that said, can you honestly say that 14 penalties for the visitors and 2 for the home team is at all representative of what you saw on the field yesterday? Honestly? I'm glad we pulled it out, and elated that the calls were reversed when they were in LSU's favor, but even that points to a problem inherent on the field, does it not? That the refs on the field made the improper call that were it not reviewed would have gone against the visiting team. That's disturbing considering how important these games are and how much revenue they generate. Better officiating is really a must, because it's gotten progressively worse over the years. Just my two cents. Brian ~Geaux Tigers!~
What I'm talking about is poor impartiality, not conspiracy. When Bama plays at Tiger stadium next year, they won't get the calls either. I'm sure it is entirely unconscious, but in the SEC, the home team gets the close calls WAY too often. And you are looking through Crimson ones. Do you have anything else to offer besides just scoffing at my observations?
Let's see, we've beat you five straight. Seven of the last eight years. I know you have the overall record and history is a wonderful thing to cling to but you really don't 'bother' us. You're pretty much insignificant. It's not like you're Auburn or Florida. After you go on probation...AGAIN....and Saban jumps ship.....AGAIN....before you get off probation; maybe your grandkids will be around to watch Bama beats us again.
That columnist looks like a victim of Incest...couldn't be more of a Gump if he tried. Once Satan lies to them, and shows his true colors...they'll understand.
well i have to, so we can agree that its a split second kind of call and its a hell of lot harder than it looks?
I'm glad to have Bama fans on the board, but I think some of you folks are criticizing our team a little too much. We know we have flaws, we don't need a lecture from a team we just beat, especially not on our board. Was there homecooking? Maybe a bit. Whether there was or not, for the most part LSU made their bed last night and nearly slept in it. I don't remember a lot of holding calls on LSU, either. There is not a conspiracy, LSU has regularly been a heavily penalized team under Miles. Miles has said before he will address this issue but we have yet to see results. Starting off the third half with a block in the back almost made me unplug my tv and throw it out the window.
