This sums up what the entire country feels about LSU. Our Talented Tigers have their Championship goal right in front of them. They can choose to embrace it and focus on beating the snot out of each team one game and one play at a time or lose focus and live the rest of their lives wishing they had a 2nd chance. It's up to the players and no one else. The coaches have already demonstrated they will run any play and risk it all to win a game. Now our players need to step up and play like Champions.

New England had 10 penalties for 146 yards yesterday and squeaked out a win in a game they should have lost, yet, despite 2 hours of ESPN's analysis of the game I have yet to hear anyone say the Patriots are poorly coached.

Mandel: "If and when we ever see the complete Tigers, there’s little doubt in my mind we’ll be seeing the nation’s scariest team (hence why I've kept them atop my ballot). Keep shooting themselves in the foot, however, and their luck will almost certainly run out. "

'ZACTLY! I think (for sanity's sake if nothing else) that we're about to make a scary, dominating run. I'm very excited!

Whomever faces LSU in a bowl game should be afraid, very afraid. This team will get act together starting with LA Tech. Ideally I would like to see us be able to put LA tech away early and rest some players for the stretch run.:geaux: :milesmic:  :helmet:

how is this a gamble?? a gamble seems when you do something risky when you have a chance to play it safe.

there was no choice in going for it on 4th on that play. but whatever.:miles:

3mins left, all Bama has to do is make a couple of 1st downs and they win. What good is a FG at this point?

I didn't read the article as if it was a referendum on the coaches... maybe I missed something...

You could have edged out Kentucky, be undefeated, and still have some media guy wondering why you can't play to the hype he, himself, created.
Oregon's overrated, tOSU isn't really that good, Kansas is a fraud team, LSU should be better.

.... best to just keep winning... as I'm sure Maisel is gonna just keep writing.

I do find it rather ironic that the 2 best teams in the conference have the most penalties... :hihi:

I hear your point, but let's face it, New England has 3 Super Bowl titles and are blowing opponents out left and right.

You can argue the penalties till the Cows come home. One argument is that Florida and LSU play a lot of Freshman and Sophomores. Heck, I bet no team in the SEC plays more players then we do. Is there any stats guy out there that can back me up on this? The bottom line about this thread is if you take the penalties and turnovers away from the Bama game its probably a blowout game. We can't continue to live on the edge like this. The "Talking Media Heads" love this LSU team and want to see it play flawless football to see what it can do. I personally think we are going through another growth stage. In 2003 we came out of nowhere to win the NC. Remember how pissed many of the media was when we edged out USC? This year our team has been favored by many to win it all the entire season. It's much harder to play with a bullseye on your head then to play as the underdog. If we are going to have a dominant program winning multiple championships then we have to take this next step to play consistent error free football every week. I love our team. This team has accomplished more then I've ever seen any time accomplish. They have risen above more key injuries and distractions then I've ever seen. If we can play out the rest of our games focused, disciplined and error free it will be a huge example for our freshmen, sophomores, juniors and new recruits on how to continue winning championships at LSU. :crystal::helmet:
