Bo Pelini will be the HC for the Huskers in 2008. Lock city. Congrats on what should be a #1 ranking in a couple hours. :geaux: Love your town & your team, but it's time for my Huskers to "undo" a big mistake. This Callahan\Pederson debacle is finally coming to an end. See you all in Omaha in the CWS!
Huh? #1 ranking for a couple of hours? You mean we're going to magically lose it sometime later this evening? And why do you say Pellini will be the head coach? Did you just sign him? Is he on his way up there as we speak?
Joke's on you, Jack. Pelini is simply not HC material, and his storied defense down here is apparently a thing of the past. Congrats on what should be an annual trip to the Car Quest Bowl.
If that's the case, you guys are getting a good coach. But we'll be fine, Miles will replace him with yet another good coach. And it would be nice to get back to Omaha, where we belong. It will once again be known as the LSU Inventational.
This is the key. From everything that I gather, Bo hates recruiting. Despite what Cornhusker fans may think, their school doesn't recruit itself anymore.
I agree, and if you look at the good coaches they go through this all the time. Miles has proven he has the ability to make a good hire and I bet he does again.
Cowherd was talking about this the other day, not BP but with the recruiting. He said Askers beat Convincers. Meaning the LSU's, the OU's, the USC's are askers when it comes to recruiting meaning they only have to ask talent to come here, whereas Neb has to convince someone to go play there. I sort of agree with him to an extent. I don't like agreeing with him but he has been singing LSU's tune for a while now.
History doesn't mean jack in today's recruiting. It's what have you done lately for recruits. Which makes Jabba the Hut's recruiting at ND even more bizarre to me. Nebraska is going to have a hard time to convince the athletes it needs to forego sunny California or the beautiful areas of Austin, Florida or the Southeast for the freezing cold plains of Nebraska with its cornfed women.
