Was flipping through the channels and saw that Atlanta could possible be out of CLEAN drinking water before the end of the year with no end in sight of the drought they are in, IS IT POSSIBLE that the SECC might be moved to NEW ORLEANS, the way that the Sugar Bowl was moved after Katrina??????
The 60 days of water estimates are the extreme worst case scenarios. Atlanta very likely has nearly a year's worth of potable water left. I don't think the drought will cause the SECCG to move.
It should rotate. I know why it is where it's at, but no fan base in the East has to buy flight tickets and hotels when if you are on a tight schedule in the West, you have no choice.
It should rotate among the SEC's larger stadiums. ie Tiger Stadium only if LSU isn't in it. Bryant -Denny if Bama isn't in it.
Stadiums are a small factor in the decision. The reason th game was created was because of money. Not to mention a dome is nice in December, which again created more MONEY due to tourism. Tuscaloosa and Baton rRuge are not primary tourist destinations. If anywhere, I could see Tampa being involved but it wont move any time soon. However, if Birmingham gets that infamous dome watch out! :hihi:
I tend to agree with Tide fan on this one, using one of the larger SEC stadiums makes perfect sense. N.O. wouldn't be a bad spot, certainly wouldn't hurt the economy, Tampa wouldn't be a bad choice either. Its an interesting question, they're are a lot of attractive venues. Kinda just "pick" one. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
It should rotate...anyone think other fans, coaches, and ADs would be "OK" with playing the SECCG at Tiger Stadium every year...including the years LSU was in it?
