At first glance this sounds great. But Oregon's schedule is working out pretty good for them. They have a bye week this week while we play a La Tech team that won't help boost our rankings (human or computer). Luckily La Tech has a 4-5 record (could easily be 2-7), otherwise our computer rankings might take the slightest of hits. While we play our SEC CG they play their rival Oregon State. If they pummel OSU and we struggle against a 17th ranked Tennessee (projected ranking at that point), then this extra game doesn't give us the boost as we would hope. It's too bad we aren't playing that weekend alone.

Talk about UCLA having such a great impact these next 3 games. They play ASU, Oregon and USC. They run the table and they are in the Rose Bowl. Yes, they are in the Rose Bowl. They control their own destiny. If they beat ASU, that hurts Oregon in the computer polls. They beat Oregon, that's a no brainer. But even if they don't they beat USC and that hurts Oregon's computer polls.
