Miles isn't looking for the easiest win, he wants to play the competition. I like that. I don't think we want to weasel our way out of it by playing a weak Tennessee team...that doesn't help us at all. We want to play the best team, and we want to beat them. Bring on Florida or Georgia.

It's very difficult to beat a team twice in the same season. Bring on Georgia.

insert the fact that UGA humiliated LSU the last 2 times the teams met, and yeah, let's play UGA.

that's the team our guys want the most, I can tell you that.

    Either them or Kentucky again.

The one thing we have going in our favor with this whole Ore deal is we get to play one more game than they do. As long as the Tigers win, its almost a guarantee we'll be in the NCG! Besides, It'll probably be Georgia anyway.

also, Oregon is idle this weekend while we aren't on national TV... We're on national on CBS against Ole Miss AND Arky AND SECCG. Not sure if Oregon is on nationally much less broadcast network for the rest of the season. We will have much more exposure. Obviously if we mail in piss poor performances, this could work against us but it certainly puts the ball in OUR court.

I'm nervous about UGA. Have any of you been to ATL for an SECCG against Georgia? The stadium is EASILY 70% UGA fans, practically a home game. Plus UGA looks like they're really coming on... I'd prefer UF again over UGA.

Yep. And they play lowly teams like Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon State. Arkansas will probably be ranked when we play them, and so will Georgia if they get to the SECCG. All we need to do is win, and win big baby!!!

howze uga everyones pick for the sece now? just because they beat uf? throw that game out the window. uga is so young. theyre too inconsistent to beat Auburn, Kentucky and Georgia Tech. thats no cakewalk people.

i say even odds on uga, ut and uf getting to atl.

for the record. i think LSU would have the best shot at beating UT of the 3.

Which happens to be a team we beat twice in one season. We beat the snot out of 'em the second time...as a matter of fact. :thumb:

There's only one time that the two teams meeting in the SECCG and the team that won in the regular season didn't win in the SECCG and it was us beating Tennessee in the rematch. (2001)

1999..Alabama beat Florida in the regular season game and in the SECCG.

2000...Florida beat Auburn in the regular season game and in the SECCG.

2001...Tennessee beat us in regular season game but we beat them in the SECCG.

2003...LSU beat Georgia in regular and SECCG.

2004...Auburn beat Tennessee in regular season game and SECCG.

Thanks for the interesting stats, but I still wouldn't want to play FLA again. I would take Kentucky before FLA and bet on us to break the trend yet again. On the Oregon subject --I was watching "Pardon the Interuption" and Wilbon actually intimated that the Pac 10 was strong this year while the SEC was having a down year in questioning why Oregon isn't #2. This is what I was talking about. It hurts us when big time national media are lobbying for Oregon and disregarding the fact that our schedule is tougher based on ranked opponents. Is it probable they will leapfrog us, no, but it makes me nervous and aggravated that the media may be influencing the vote.
