    I hear it often, and people say it like a joke, but I think there's some validity.....the best thing the league might be able to do to lessen head injuries is go back to leather helmets.

    You know, we used to play tackle football every weekend when I was in high school, with no pads or helmets and no one ever got hurt. And we hit. Probably some validity to your statement.
