I meant that's the ruling. Punch is auto ejection. Rape should be too. Vaccaro out with groin. Hope just precautionary.
Pretty impressive win today. Saints have been looking really good lately. Sucks they are Ohio State south but oh well.
I keep waiting for the old Saints D to show up, but they haven't yet, so maybe they are for real. They held the Bucs to just 200 total yards and a short field touchdown after Snead's muffed punt. They had 150 yards rushing and Brees is not having to pass 50x for us to win. Now that Watson's gone for the year, is any rookie having a better season than Kamara?
Tampa has been out of sync all year and ready to mail it in. Can't put much weight in this game but I'll take the W. Yes Lattimore.
That's now 2 straight games and 3 out of 4 where we've run more than throw. Also 5 out of 6 holding opponent to 17 or less....wow. We could make a deep run with balance like that. Who Dat!!!
At the halfway point of the season, I'm thrilled to be 6-2, but not totally sold yet. The competition hasn't been as stiff as I expected; obviously the Pack isn't the same team without Rodgers, and the Lions and Bucs are not what I thought they'd be either. The second half of the season, on the other hand, is looking scarier than it did at first. Buffalo and LA are much better than I thought they'd be. On the plus side, the defense is much better than it originally looked on paper. We're pressuring QBs much more consistently, the secondary is maturing much faster than expected, and we are getting turnovers. On offense, trading Peterson stabilized the running back rotation. Negs: we don't have the depth at receiver we're used to, and we can't seem to get the o-line healthy. The result is, we're just not as effective on offense as we've been in the past. We also have no return game in the special teams even worth mentioning.
nola.com reports Brees threw his 225th TD pass in the Dome today. No QB in NFL history has thrown more TD passes in one stadium.
