I specified "playoff teams". The Tampa Bay Yucs are far from that, and IMO i don't think the Eagles will be there either. I never said the offense sux. I'm saying they are going to have their hands full if the have to come from 14+ points down against the Bears, Giants, and yes even ATL. :cuss:
Before yesterday, I thought the Bears were heads above the rest of the NFC. Now it's a crapshoot. Saints are as good as any team in the NFC right now. Home field throughout the playoffs looks to be crucial. Would be cool if the Saints are playing for home field advantage when they play the Giants. Giants need to beat the Bears first, however. If they can get Burress back, I think they will, especially if Berrian is still out. This Pittsburgh game coming up this weekend will tell me a lot about how far we can go. If we lose, then it may appear that we will be more in the 10-6 range. If we win, I think we're looking at 12-4.
Right now, the only NFC team that I would say is definitively better then the Saints right now is the Giants. The Bears have Grossman at QB with Orton and Griese backing him up. That QB core is a huge question mark. The NFC West blows. My answer to the question is No. I'd love to see it but the pessmist in me says the Saints are the team that peaks too early in the season. There is at least one of those every season.
