while i am pleased with the current supreme court, i dont like this recent decision on religious schools. if no schools exist in a district that are secular, the local govt should be required to build them, or if they fund religious schools, those schools should be required to offer a secular education. perhaps allow some students to arrive later in the day after they finish with the jesus bullshit, and also outlaw, for example, religious textbooks, like geology books that say counterfactuals like young-earthism or creationism.
that said i am desperately hoping some kind of concealed carry law is coming soon from those heroes at the supreme court that will let this nigga carry without some bullshit license
The ruling was that if the gov is providing vouchers they don’t get to say where the parents use them. That isn’t funding religious schools. Many alternative approved schools inevitably are politically connected.
of course it is, the parents take the govt money and pay schools that teach them that jesus was magic, and that creationism is where we came from
unfortunately i dont think the ruling is that broad. i think it will mean new yorkers can get concealed carry permits without proving they need them. doesnt remove the permit requirement nationwide
Yea Kav left the door open for NY and other states to still "regulate". Its the opposite of my view. The 2nd protects "me" from ANY government regulating "away" my access. And Alito was perfect. Brass balls to say that no matter the current events, the constitution is the constitution. Could you imagine just changing shit because of ................. EMOTIONS? !
