I think most commentators have the "get paid by the word" attitude. If there's silence for a couple of seconds, that must mean you're not talking enough! :dis:

TigerVision + TiVo + Audio from LSUSports.net = Happy Happy Fun Time Joy!

I don't listen to anybody but Jim Hawthorne, unless forced to by circumstances beyond my control.

Even though he's an Ole Miss grad, I think Ron Franklin is still the best play by play guy. I still don't know why he got 'demoted' from the No. 1 ESPN broadcast crew. Brad Nessler is a very close second.

Blackledge is probably the best color guy their is. He tends to be balanced and his analysis is using spot on. I'm trying to think of who runs a close second to him. Maybe Herbie?

Is he the guy working the game with Doug Greengard (sp?) ?

So then who are the guys calling the game when I watched the game on channel 37 here in Metry on CST?

I wish Ron Franklin was at CBS and I'm not one of the Lundquist/Danielson haters. But Franklin is just that good.

With the SEC as the dominant conference year in and year out, I think that CBS should look into broadcasting SEC doubleheaders on many Saturdays. the prime time FLA/LSU game did well in the ratings. Maybe one game from an East stadium and one from a West. Let Verne and Gary do the East with Franklin/Blackledge doing the West. (The West game would always have to be the later one though! )
