I was just looking back to see where the series stood (63-42-4 in favor of LSU) and noticed that this site shows that LSU played Ole Miss either in NOLA (Sugar Bowl) or BR every year from 1928 to 1964.... This isn't correct at all is it? I wasn't around back then. Here's the LINK

it lists some years in duplicate too... still it shows BR as the site of the game.

I did a quick scan of the LSU media guide and for that time span it does show the vast majority of the games being LSU home games (doesn't say where). Some of the games where LSU was the visitor there is a note that says the game was played in Jackson.

Actually I think thats probably correct seems the games moved around a lot back then...Hey, heres one you may not have heard of. LSU was the first college football team to play a game in another country. Believe it or not...(sorry borrowed that), heres the proof...

1907 - LSU vs. Havana University
The first Bacardi Bowl in 1907 matched Louisiana State University against Havana University. This gave LSU the honor of being the first American college team to play on foreign soil. The Tigers took the Cuban team by surprise on Christmas Day at Almendares Park and LSU walked away with a convincing 56-0 victory before 10,000 fans.

I remember an interview with one of those Tigers years ago, Though I can,t remember who. It was sooo funny, apparently, the Cubans seemed to think it was "macho" to drink wine instead of water. Old Tiger said, all ya had to do to slow them down a bit was "whack" them in the stomach and...well you get the picture!

It sure was exciting being right there in the end zone section when Jones hit Davis for the TD. We stayed there yelling and stomping for quite some time. Another case of Tiger Stadium magic. Of course, I remember playing against Archie also :(

Use this link instead. Not all, but most were played in BR. I remember my grandfather used to joke about Ole Miss saying they would play us in BR, because thei High School stadium wasn't big enough.
