That's about what I projected, a "few" voters switching LSU over Oregon (5-10 in the coaches, and some 20-25 in the Harris). We shall see.

You are the Guru, but I am very concerned about the fickle human polls. Jumping Oregon ahead of LSU was the topic of discussion all last week by the talking heads that need a weekly story. I never saw more free lobbying on behalf of a school. Oh wait, yes I have, for USC. Now another west coast team, seem familiar, is being rallied behind by the sports media to play in the title game. I am very concerned about Oregon and their free press.

And as you pointed out in another post, our championship game doesn't help us as much as you might think because Oregon is off this week while we play LaTech and they will play the same number of games as us from here on out.

The Michigan loss should hurt Oregon's strength of schedule though right? However, Arky, Auburn and Alabama losses won't do wonders for us.

LSU doesn't have one more game than they do.

Both teams do play 3 more games.

LSU just has one more chance at a quality win than they do.

Oregon probably won't gain anything being idle this week.

I do see another ominous scenario developing. Oregon remains undefeated as does Kansas and Kansas jumps Oregon in the BCS to #2. In fact the human polls (AP) put Oregon #1 by seasons end due to a perceived slight. BCS has LSU and Kansas...see what I'm getting at?

A couple of thoughts on this...

You saw the voters continue to say Ohio State deserved their rating because they were in a BCS conference and they were undefeated despite their schedule. But, the same isn't deserved from Kansas?

Kansas has Mizzu at home, so I see that as a Kansas win as well.

Kansas goes on the road and defeats Colorado at home. OU goes on the road and losses to Colorado on the road.

We'll see who it plays out, but I think Kansas is getting the short end of the stick.

What's going to be interesting this week is how the computers rate Kansas.

i wont be upset with a bcs nc game appearance no matter who the oppt, but KU is the worst one for LSU of those that have a shot. this is especially true if OU loses before they meet in the b12 cg. i can hear all the pac10 fans already after lsu barely beats KU in the NC game and UO kills OhioSt in the Rose. "Oregon is the real NC. Kansas wasnt really that good"
