I know some of the penalties last night were kind of fishy, but they have been a huge problem for our team this year. Why do we have so many more than last year? Do we place all the blame on coaches?
I think some of our penalties are just stupid. (illegal procedure) And that does fall on the coaches teaching displine to these kids. But you have to wonder how every team we play against the last few weeks only finish the game with less than 5 penalties.
Easy.....the refs are watching LSU close because LSU has a rep now for having so many penalties...IMHO
With that said, I guess two weeks ago, when Dorsey what chopped that ref must have been watching Glenn to make sure he was holding on his way to the ground after having his knee buckled underneath him.:thumb:
It's up and down...some games we have 5 or 6, some games 10 or 11 ...last night was the worst so far, 14.
It's amazing how in the first 4 games this season, LSU played flawless ball. Then the last 5 games, they look like they are still in pee wee football. I agree that the refs are PATHETIC, but we do commit a bunch of stupid penalties. I think some disciplinary action should be taken on T. Jackson. Maybe suspend him for a half or something. His late hit, again, on the QB was just plain stupid. It cost us against UK and it ignited a pathetic Alabama team last night. I also feel that C. Stewart should be suspended. Taking off your helmet to argue with a ref, that is totally uncalled for. I think Miles will do something this week, he has too. Now anything less than a NC is disappointing. This is the BEST team in college football, period. There is no way in hell we should not win it all this year! :crystal:
There's nothing like endless wind sprints and 'climbing the steps' in Tiger Stadium to focus the attention.
