    Even if we recruited him from CHS he still would be a Bama guy. That was known by everyone around him. His dad is or was the head of the alumini assoc. at Bama while he attending CHS. LSU interviewed him last year for a QB coach job and that is it. No way we would take him as an OC as of now. Look for him to stay at Bama until he gets the axe or take a HC job at a small school to gain some HC expierence.

    Good guy but not ready for the big leagues yet.

    improving throughout the year doesnt matter. this is college football

    you brought up the "drilling". it doesnt matter, this year everyone got drilled by someone then drilled someone else. so what?

    Major hated LSU when he was at CHS. No way would he have played here even if we did recruit him.

    As far as OC is concerned, I pray to God that we are able to retain Gary Crowton. He's the best in the business, IMO.

    I have said a number of times that we need to find someone who is happy coaching college football, has no sights on the NFL, and sees LSU as a stepping stone. I think Spurrier fits that description. He has been to the NFL and wants no part of it. Plus I don't know of any school that has always been a dream of his to coach. If Spurrier comes to Tiger Town, he will be here a very long time. If any coach, during the interview, says he has always dreamed of coaching at another university, he should be immediately removed from the list.

    How about HC Kirk Ferentz (sp?) from Iowa? He has had a tough last two years, but I always thought he did a lot with a little. I also like Crowton as the
    OC. I think he has brought an offensive spark back to LSU. A spark that I thought was squased by an overly conservative Dumbo Fisher

    Crowton is being mentioned for the Arky job. Might have a whole new staff pretty soon.

    What about Tuberville?

    What about Tuberville as coach if Miles leaves. He can definitely coach in the SEC and recruit. He may be a better option than Spurrier in the long run.:miles:
