Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

I'd say Ar-Kansas drilled our defense and embarassed it. Also, all of those teams you mentioned improved throughout the year. This team regressed dramatically. But I guess we are all happy that we lost close games only.

I don't understand the love affair with Saban.

I think Monday will be a huge day for LSU and CLM. If he's going to UM, I think they'll announce it Monday- if its already a done deal. Same for BP- Nebraska.

I would rather see CLM stay, instead of going to UM. He's done a great job at LSU, 32-6 so far.

But something tells me we're gonna need a bunch of new coaches come Monday.

    Re: New Head Coach

Supposedly it is a 3 horse race between Spurrier, Saban and Del Rio according to 2 separate sources on another board. One is reporting that Bertman has little power at this point, but didn't say whether Bertman actually disagreed with the candidates. These are proven coaches, but I'm not overly excited about any of them. Spurrier is 62 and hasn't been on top for a long time. Does he still have enough fire left in him to recruit and win championships? It would seem surreal at this point for Saban to come back. It would definately tick ALA off, and make Saban kind of a joke for leaving yet again. Del Rio is unproven as a college coach and I'm not sure how he would work out recruiting wise, but he is the youngest and has a lot of energy. You have to wonder if he could eventually bolt to USC, his alma mater, if Carrol left or go back to the NFL if he didn't like recruiting.

Ok...Just got 100% confirmation on this flight to BR that was diverted to NO. It was a CARGO PLANE and was diverted because of some runway work going on in BR.

End of story on that flight.

That, in itself, discredits everything else.

What, you want me to raise a statue for the guy? Name a street after him? I always wondered about guys who start out a conversation by saying a guy doesn't get respect or appreciation. It seems kinda womanly.........he gets respect by getting his paycheck every 2 weeks. He hasn't been fired to my knowledge.

When Les Miles wins the championships Bowden has call me. The comparison of Bowden and Miles is laughable.

Re: LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

I posted that it appears to be out of Del Rio, Spurrier, or Saban under a different thread. If that is true--which do you want?

If I hear Saban say the words "I will NOT be the next head coach at LSU!" I'm gonna puke.
