Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

If this is true, Im gonna have to eat my words. I never thought Michigan would go after Miles but thought if they did they would screw up negotiations. However, the longer Michigans "search" goes on the more likely it is they are waiting to announce someone who's already agreed to be hired. In that scenario all indications point directly at Miles. There really isn't any other candidate they would be waiting on at this point.

In Pelini's case he may coach through the weekend but if he is hired it will be like Miles, done deal before the weekend. Nebraska isnt going to wait much longer. Osborne said it should be over by the weekend and I've been saying that. If they don't announce someone before Friday and it becomes clear they have their man its going to be Pelini.

If both these outcomes are true then it seems like Miles and Pelini are doing everything they can to look like they are doing the right thing. If we win Saturday and they both leave they will be hailed as classy coaches who worked for LSU till the end. If we lose and they leave, they will endure the onslaught of the old "distraction" accusation.

Actually, it isn't that large of a plane. It is smaller than an MD-80 and this could very easily be a private jet. It is bigger than say a Gulfstream or Cessena Citation, but it isn't an unreasonably sized plane for private use. Check out google to see some pics.

I think going to N.O. maybe a fake out and they could take a limo up to B.R. I just have a feeling that Miles and Pelini is gone. It would be one of those things that would happen to LSU and be such an odd thing. The loss to Arky made Miles decision a lot easier b/c we are out of NT contention.

So LSU goes from #1 in the country almost certain to get to the BCSCG. Then we lose to Arky, lose Pelini to Neb after an SECCG loss, then Miles goes to UM. That would just be devastating. All under 2 weeks. I just have a bad feeling.

My first thought when I woke up this morning was that we were probably going to lose Saturday.

No bro...its a MUCH, MUCH larger plane than a Citation or Gulfstream. Depending on configuration, it seats minimum 60+. Citation and Gulfstreams are less than 1/2 that size. Its also a VERY old plane that burns TONS and TONS of fuel. If you arent transporting 50 plus people you would never hire that plane to fly an athletic director to interview a coach or whatever.

Here is a picture of the plane that made that flight. This is "the" plane.

BTW...if you want to see the entire fleet of planes that airline that made the flight here ya go. This is the mecca for airlines photo's. Dont need to google anything.

Re: Bad Blood if Les Loses and Leaves

Actually it would be best if both men leave after SECCG. The bowl game can be handled by chucko the clown. It will not matter as much for a new coach to finalize some recruiting.

i agree with your thoughts....why would we settle for spurrier? imo much like joe gibbs the game is passing him by. if clemson can win 10 games in sc why can't spurrier?

I hate that this is happening at this time, this year, and I hope that whatever comes out of all of this is a stronger LSU program. That's my biggest worry about this, is what comes next. I'm tired of LSU being the slut that no one wants to marry. I want a winning coach who wants to stay at LSU for more than three to five years. My concern about Spurrier being a possible coach here, is that he coaches for five years, tops, and then we're back in the same position.
