That’s been O’s flaw since day 1; E is over the offense, so it’s on him too. I think the plan is to snag transfers that can play sooner than freshmen, but 1 OT and 1 DT is pretty dumb.
I just looked at the roster for offensive linemen. Not count departing Seniors, here's what I found. 9 Freshmen, 2 Sophomore's, & 2 Juniors. To me that doesn't appear to leave a hell of a lot of room to sign incoming Freshmen or transfers. Your thoughts?
We signed 5 OL in 2019 and 3 in 2020, which is good. And I think all 5 of those guys in 2019 redshirted, so with no eligibility loss this year, I guess that means all 8 of those guys will still be freshmen next year, plus Dellinger. So yeah, maybe its not all bad. Still would like to add another this year though.
I just looked at our depth chart. Our C & RT are Seniors, our LG & RG are Juniors, and our LT is a Sophomore.
I just looked at ESPN & CBS. They both have us ranked in the Top 5. The bad news is Bama is ranked #1.
It's a great class. Assuming it holds, this will only be the 5th time LSU has broken 290 points in the history of the 247 rankings. 1) 2014 - 299.29 2) 2020 - 298.62 3) 2016 - 295.03 4) 2021 - 294.75 5) 2009 - 293.15 Considering we just had two of our top four rated classes in history in back to back years, I'd say we're doing alright.
Leave it to you to somehow blame E for a non existent problem. Great class so far. Don't need more than one or two OL's this class. MobileBengal is spot on. 4 WR's and good ones. They must not read your post the E sucks cause the came to play for E's offense.
