i love every thing norm ever did, but this is my all time favorite. a whole story about matlock, at the end the premise is that it wasnt matlock. best punchline ever "didnt even look like him".
Thompson Usiyan. The name may not be familiar to you but he was a national hero in Nigeria, a member of their national team, an all-american at App State and still holds several all time NCAA scoring records. He was on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He taught me how to play soccer and I taught him how to play basketball. He loved it and got pretty good. He taught me how to curve a corner into the net. I got quite good at it. Probably couldn't even get the ball air born now. He was my friend. He also gave one of the best compliments I ever had. He said you are to fat and slow but if I could put your heart into my teammates, we would never lose another game. Sad day. https://journalnow.com/sports/colle...cle_c3c714e6-1715-11ec-b5a1-83419fbe7901.html
Colin Powell former Chairman of the JCS, Secretary of State passed away today. Famous for his position in the Bush administration, perhaps his most important accomplishment was that he and Norman Swartzkoph and others remade the Army from the nadir after Vietnam to the machine that won the Gulf War.
General Milley couldn't even hold Colin Powell's jock strap when it comes to being a leader of men and woman or military strategist.
