When I bought a new car back in May I was wearing my LSU cap. The finance man at the dealership was preparing for his upcoming wedding to an LSU alum and made a point of saying "Geaux Tigers" a few times. I didn't get a better deal because of my cap, but he did offer me Vaseline....

    pretty considerate, I thought. :eek:ldskule:

I LOVE JACKSONVILLE! the only place I have ever gotten anything for free because I had anything LSU and found an LSU koozie at a gas station when I was leaving! Almost felt like home and then I had to go to Miami and reality hit me...nope I was still in Florida!

I almost got $115 dollars of diesel, and a coke and bag of pretzels free in Opelika, Ala. once thanks to my LSU hat. Was at a gas station, just filled up the truck, and was getting a lil snack for the road. Woman behind counter completely ignored me. Finally, she said I needed to change my hat if I wanted to get service in here. So I politely informed her I was walking out with my drink and chips, and driving off with my diesel, whether or not an Aubie rang me up for it. She changed her tune, and took my money. She remarked "that's why no one likes LSU fans", to which I replied "this is the reason nobody travels to Auburn/Opelika"

On the Ms Gulf Coast, I mostly get positive comments about my LSU gear. Every now and then I'll get a smart a$$ comment, but mostly it's positive.

Earlier this season, I was decked out in LSU gear and I went to the grocery store to get some beer and some stuff to throw on the grill. A man had his LSU hat and shirt on and we were both pushing carts walking toward each other. We made eye contact and I said "Geaux Tigers." He said "Hey man....what time do we play today?" I thought to myself...."shouldn't this guy know on game day what time kickoff is?" I politely told him that the game started at 2:30. Then the guy says...."who do we play today?" I was like, "Uhhhhh, Kentucky." Then he goes, "Commonwealth Stadium, right?" I was like, "yeah". The whole thing was just kinda wierd to me. How did homeboy know what the name of Kentucky's stadium was...but he had no clue when "his" team kicked off and wasn't sure at first who we were playing? I guess it's better to see an LSU fan with no knowlege of his team than a Gump with alot of knowledge about his team.

I work at the Best Buy in Destin, FL, well since it is the Panhandle, I pretty much have to deal with Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and a few Georgia's. Anyways, anytime a customer comes into BBY wearing their LSU stuff, I always help them first and getting them everything they need, always end up finishing up talking about LSU.

Actually the other day, a guy in a kentucky shirt was walking towards be wanting some help and I saw a Lady about ten ft away from him decked out in her purple and gold tshirt and hat. I walked right by him and walked up to her and said, " How are you today ma'am, can I help you with anything today..and how bout them tigers"....the kentucky fan was pissed to say the least.

    GEAUX TIGERS.
