This is so sad. He was a real New Orleans character and a friend of mine. We were customers of each other. He would call me from outside the cafe because he wouldn't leave his truck. I never heard of Mr. Okra before you posted this thread but I wish I had met him. Somebody like the Neville Brother or the Meters should write a New Orleans style funk song about him.
