What's the most annoying chant, song, "thing" that other teams do that just aggravates you... Here's my list: 1) War Damn Eagle 2) Rocky Top 3) That stupid "Go Gators, Go Gators, get up and go" 4) Roll Tide 5) Hotty Toddy 6) FIRST DOWN KENTUCKYYYYYYYYY (That sh*t is louder than hell) 7) I've been working on the railroad (Texas) 8) The Gaytor Chomp 9) The Chop (Fla. St) 10) Michigan (just the arrogance of them being Michigan) Honorable Mention: Moo U Cowbell Smurf Turf Oregon's ever changing uni's (it was cool for one year, now not so much) Now, this is meant in jest because I know plenty of fans from other schools that can't stand the fact that our band plays down the throat of every other band the ENTIRE game, 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, touchdown, defensive turnover. Every fan has them... what are your aggravations?
Florida State! I hate that WHOOO HOOO HOOO WHOOO HOOO HOOO! Makes me want to break there fingers! That stupid chop!
Exactly. I agree with the list, just not the order. With apologies to Col Reb, move the Hotty Toddy to No. 1
1) Rocky Top!! At the Women's SEC Championships, we would take a tally on a posterboard and show the crowd how many times the Tenn. band would play Rocky Top during the Tenn./LSU game. 2) AU Tigers/War Eagle/Plainsmen... make up your mind! 3) Miss. St.'s Cowbells: Aren't artificial noisemakers against the rules? 4) Gator Chomp: Win or lose, the Gators still look dumb doing the chomp. 5) Georgia's barking: Enough said... 6) "That's another Razorback FIRST DOWN!!": Really, it was? We started announcing the 4th downs to counter this. 7) "Go Silly Gators" What the hell does that mean anyway? 8) Roll Tide 9) Hotty Totty 10) Penn State (and others I'm sure) playing that "Oh Oh Oh Oh" song over the loudspeakers 300 times a game.
By far, with 2nd not even in the same hemisphere, is hearing Rocky Top over and over and over again. It's to the point where I'm mute the sound if I'm watching UT vs another team. (IE: Arkansas yesterday) I see the Gator Chomp in a different category. That seems to me to be more of a taunt against the other team than say the Roll Tide chant is about the team being supported. I'm curious. Does anyone know if the Indian chant FSU does started with FSU or did it start with the Atlanta Braves?
FSU - and believe it or not, most of them believe it creates an intimidating atmosphere for the opposing offense.
