pedro pulled after giving up 7 earned and 8 hits in 2 2/3. can't wait to see pedro and tom pitching for the triple a zephyrs next year. will be awesome.
you're correct. been telling martian about this starting pitching since april. no chance to win it all. with the astros likely out there is no dominant starting pitching which means it sets up once again for the evil empire. mediocre staffs (including their own) favors the yanks and they will coast again it seems.
I do have to agree the Mets are done. Their best pitcher is 40 years old. Sad to see the great Pedro not being able to perform. On a side note, the Mets are the only team that will end up finishing in first place in MLB history to lose back to back games by 12 runs.
whats happened here is the mets are a rare team of intellectuals who can actually wrap their heads around what meaningless games are. meaningless. truly of no consequence, you could lose by 100 and it means nothing.
