What all Tiger fans fear is that Mr. Hayes will be prophetic. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=301159
as much as i hope national opinion doesn't affect our chances to play for a national championship, i like it better when people underestimate us. tsn makes me yawn.
Okay, so we play sloppy at times, and are not always smart. Sure, this could come back to bite us and cause us to lose. There could be that one game where we fall behind due to scoring plays resulting from penaltes that prove too much to come back from. On a related note, I've read a number of times that you can't win on talent alone. Can't it be argued that it is precisely the talent, combined with strong character, tenacity and the will to win that allows us to overcome the sloppy play and mistakes? Of course I would prefer that we don't get into these come from behind situations week in and week out; just thought I'd throw this out there as food for thought. I don't know that Matt Hayes or any of his ilk have considered that argument. :geauxtige
Isn't that the same publication that proclaimed Auburn National Champions in 2003... before one game was played... yeah I couldn't care less what anyone from that publication writes because all they do is state the obvious.
Beats the hell out of being a UL fan. All is not perfect, but I have a problem with squirrels who constantly carp about the bad things while the majority of us are enjoying the good things.
Well, this Tiger fan doesn't fear. Hayes obviously doesn't know the SEC very well. Penalties and dropped passes are a problem but to come through the greuling 4 games we've just been through makes us stronger. I think LSU is getting ready to peak and the end of the year is the best time to do it. :milesmic:
I think this paragraph sums up this Dbag's true feelings: "Then there's the SEC Championship game -- on a neutral field, without the comforting backdrop of Tiger Stadium -- against a team LSU hasn't faced (Georgia or Tennessee) or a team it should have lost to (Florida)." :dis:
