Verne is really annoying when he overdoes that laugh of his. He sounds like he's about to puke. I wish CBS would steal Nessler away from ABC and put him on the SEC games.
Agreed. Nessler and Ron Franklin (even though he's an Ole Piss grad) are my 2 favorite college broadcasters.
Late in the game, when it looked like all was lost for LSU, Dunceielson said (paraphrasing): "They used to say about Bear Bryant that he could take his players and beat your players, and then he could take your players and beat his players. Maybe Alabama has finally found another Bear Bryant." Then the Tigers came back for the VICTORY just in time to make Dunceielson shut his stupid face. :milesmic:
I know you're hypothetically speaking, but Russell and Dorsey were two different situtions. If Russell doesn't play last year, he isn't anywhere near the number one overall.
I wish the radio would broadcast on two stations the day of the game, one live, and one delayed for the t.v. - seems do-able. I know when we play away games, the LSU Network broadcast on a station locally where the game is so that our fans can listen to the LSU Net broadcasts, seems like they could pick up an un-used channel for a delayed broadcast here.
I can't stand to hear the radio announce an incomplete pass when the QB hasn't even thrown it yet on TV. Here is what I need: http://delayplay.com/
CBS College Football coverage pretty much blows in general. Some of the cameras they use are not very good on HD, and their announcers are horrible. :milesmic: ldskule: :usaflagwa TigerSports
I can second that, the wide shots they use to cover the action look pretty good, but when they zoom in on players it doesn't look nearly as good, and the slo-mo replays look like standard definition. As for the announcers, I lost respect for Danielson after he went ballistic over the Tebow "late hit", screaming that the hit was at the knees and that "in the NFL, that would be a fine," only to be proven completely wrong with the zoom-in replay, and still sticking to his story.
