LSU has preformed better in odd numbered years than in even numbered years. This trend has lasted for 21 years and 3 head coaches. LSU has only won championships in odd numbered years. LSU has had some sub par years in even numbered years. Two .500 (4-4 & 5-5) seasons and one .375 (3-5) year. Meanwhile, LSU has never dropped below .625 (5-3) in odd numbered years. I think that’s because on odd years we play AU and FU at home and Bama on the road. We play those games decidedly better in those locations. Generally speaking.
You’ll never guess the Defensive coordinator who refused to let up on man coverage as DJ Shockley continuously torched us over the top on go routes... Edit: Looks like I misremembered this game a bit. Shockley torched us on 2 longish TDs, but only threw for 30-40 yards otherwise.
