I'm wondering the same. All these penalties and getting embarrassed isn't a good sign for someone trying to keep his job.
He doesn't have to think so much. Counter to what people sometimes think, the game actually slows down a bit for the QB during the hurry up. There are less reads to make and few adjustments. This makes it much easier, and allows for faster decisions.
