You...are...retarded. This...thread...is...about...Nick...Saban. If...you...would...like...to...debate...this...thread...in...a...rational...manner...I...can...do...that. If...you...want...to...turn...this...into...a...three...year...old...Miles/Saban...debate,...feel...free...to...talk...to...yourself. I love Miles, dont start **** for no reason.
He did say he didn't want to turn this into a Miles/Saban debate right? Pissing matches always end up bad, as they always end (as they do in real life) in bickering even after. I agree on the top three accounts. On the fourth, that's your opinion. That's your right. Obviously, someone in the UA athletic administration disagrees, though. After all, he has reignited interest in the program, along with donation money flowing in.
I'll save you the time. Alabama didn't come back once under Shula when down in the 4th quarter. Research it if you like, but I'll save you the time. It didn't happen. One would have to blind not to see the return on the investment. It's happening in the monetary end, it's happening in the recruiting fields. _________ Before this season everyone knew there was a problem with the depth and youth in the LB corps, and in the middle of the defense. Many here pointed to the same thing. You realize, because you lived through it, it takes a while for defenses to adjust to Saban's scheme. It's a learning curve. I'm disappointed in the loss. No doubt. But, Croom has done a good job this year. His win over UK was impressive as was the win over Auburn. Credit goes to them today because they were the most physical team on the football field.
Saban's one true salvation at this point will be to beat Auburn. If not, Saban had better read over his homeowners insurance policy to check if it includes arson damages.
About as good as he did his first year with LSU. Why are so many people in this forum still so hung up with what Saban is doing or has done or not doing? (I like NS and am very appreciative for what he did for our football program but he is history now)
Could that be due to the hype surrounding Saban? The question now becomes, can that return sustain in the coming years?
After reviewing the play, the ruling on the field has been overturned. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=262870333 Down 26-23 and won. It wasn't in the 4th quarter, but in overtime. But other than that, no actual 4th quarter comeback, which is real surprising to me. They did have 5-6 times where the game was tied in the fourth quarter, though and the team scored last to win, which is kinda the same thing.
