So how can anyone say anything about his future as coach? Miles has had the same records in 2005 and 2006. Does that bear anything to how this team has accomplished what they have accomplished? No. Does it say they haven't improved? No.
With that team and against that schedule, probably about the same, as would any other good coaches, Richt, Meyer, Spurrier, Crooms, Tubby. I think that is the point.
best post in the thread, b/c had they beat LSU, it would have been "Oh, Saban outfoxed Miles," etc...
You aren't the only Bama fan on this board...and certainly not the only Bama fan I have communication with. Go check out your board and see how long it takes you to find a "Less Miles needs to shutup" or other Miles bashing thread. I am not singling you out, but this is an LSU board...and we are free to trash your coach if we like. You are also free to defend your coach. Today also isn't enough of a reason for me to not like Saban...he accomplished that years ago for me...Miles ago, in fact.:thumb:
You haven't said it here, but if your the same cornbiscuit on tidefans, you said a BUNCH there about Miles. MSU's talent is not as good as Bama's, so obviously, SABAN GOT OUTCOACHED.
Bingo! That's like me going over to Tidefans and speaking highly of Saban, claiming that I've never said anything bad about him.
That is my point. It starts on the inside and this is what I am trying to tell you. Lets pretend in a fantasy world you work for the school newspaper. You see things that go on inside of a program rival fans can't see. Would it bother you when certain people make delusional posts about situations that they don't understand ( I am not talking about you)? Shula had no control on the inside, and that has changed. As any person that isn't trying to belittle Saban would acknowledge, his results will be shown down the road...not completely this year, even though some results are already seen (And I compeltely understand how most people that only watch LSU can't see them. I wouldn't see any in a program I wasn't involved with). For example, Bama is playing with a 9th string offensive line, but that will never be talked about, of course.
I find that hard to believe. Saban has been OK for a first year coach. But the contract holds him to a different standard. I'm sure no one will ever admit it, but I refuse to believe that the Bama brass put out that kind of money expecting 6-4 in the first year. They thought Nick would put them (at the very least) in the SECCG this year. I don't care enough to go reading the Bama boards and media to see what they're saying, but if Cornbiscuit's attitude is prevalent, then I'm very impressed with their patience.
...while he is at ND, he'll be praising the players he recruited to Alabama, as they just beat the crap out of some poor team in a BCS bowl.:hihi: Isn't that his M.O.? That's why LSU is so good, right? Because of Saban? His results at LSU are being shown down the road...or should we say...while HE is down the road.:thumb:
First of all I know the guy and he supported Miles and Jamracus more than any Bama fan, or LSU fans concerning JaMarcus. He lived in Baton rouge and worked at the school and likes LSU and is not here to start trouble so I can promise you that you are lying.
