I haven't heard of him getting in a game yet. They are not going anywhere, that has been proven. Why not start putting him in, like in the second half of the game, run your offense, and let him start reading defense, making mistakes and start getting him ready for next season?
Yep, he'll get in sooner rather than later, and probably this week or next. He'll likely be horrible, but no worse than the other wood pegs they've had in there.
He will get some time but the truth to the matter is they are holding out for more Tigers through the draft. JR expected to start in 2009 per Al Davis's baby.
THe word is that Culpepper will start this week. The coaches have set up a package that they feel comfortable with for JR and they will probably throw him in the game a few times this week.
Culpepper WILL start next game and JaMarcus will be the main back-up. They have given him a package of plays to run, plays he's comfortable with in practice. He'll probably come in and play if they have a good lead, or if they're blown out. Kiffin has shown that he's a stubborn and I think he will never put him in the game if it's close.
Jay Glazer on FOX's NFL Pregame just stated that the Raiders plan today is to get JMar at least two series.
Sounds like a good plan. That's what I'd do, I think its time to get him in a little. I'm glad they're not just throwing him in there. Start with a little, make him earn it. If he does well, the fans may demand they play him more. We'll see.
