I'm currently a high school graduate interested in walking on to the football program at lsu...I was wondering if anyone on this forum is familiar with this process... I assume its pretty difficult considering the fact that LSU is the current national champion of college football...If this is possible?? What would I have to do...If you're familiar with this process, please respond!! Thanks...
Post your credentials and I will stack them up against a couple of my friends who walked on - more than anything else, they understood their role and gave a TON of time to the football program...
6'1 310lb DT...Bench 345, squat 655, clean 265, 5.1 40, Extremely quick feet...1st team all-district, a few other minor awards...Team captain ect... Started every year I attended High school (4A school)... Why wasn't I recruited? I don't know...I was extremely pissed initially and almost gave up football entirely...But I got over it...
Go to the Athletic Administration Building at LSU... Walk into the door... Walk up to the Elevator... Press the button that's marked with an arrow pointing up... Walk into the elevator when it opens up... Turn around... Press the button underneath the number "2". When the elevator opens again... Walk into the LSU Football Office and explain what you just explained to us to them... Brace yourself, and prepare for our cheers...
Thats great....How did he go about doing it... SHOULD I just walk up there and demand to speak to someone in charge?? Should I write a letter and send film?? How does one become a walk-on??
What I meant was go to the Football Office and ask the Football Secretary...Either a Miss Lois or a Miss Ya'Ell (Pronounced phonetically Ya-Ell)...Just ask them what you need to do to walk on...
